I’m having a book fair this week! It’s so exciting! I made this flyer for it.
I am immensely enjoying working with 5 Star Learning Ranch this week. The place is truly amazing. The rooms’ set up is amazing!
I love how the rooms are set up with a quiet loft area for reading and so many adorable high quality child size tables, chairs, bathrooms, and other fun kid sized amenities. I love how there is cowboy and cowgirl wall decor everywhere, but it is subtle enough that one doesn’t notice until he/she really looks.
The teachers are exceedingly sweet and compassionate. If we were in need of a daycare or looking for a preschool, 5 Star would be at the top of the list.

On Saturday, Sept 22nd (Bilbo’s and Frodo’s Birthday) I’ll be at the BATAVIA BUNCO FOR BREAST CANCER’s shopping event. I will be one of 17 vendors participating in the event. Vendors donate either a portion of the sales or product to be part of a raffle at the Bunco event in October. Please come out and support the fight again breast cancer!
My friends are bringing home their new baby boy! I’m so excited for them! Most of my sales commission from my first month with Usborne went to their adoption fund, and now two months later, they are bringing home Titus. This was a surprise adoption! You can read all about it on Katie’s Blog. They need to raise more money to cover the costs of adopting Titus. Take a look at this post from April, the matching grant is over, but, you can make a tax deductible donation HERE.
I worked the market again today. It was my first time solo. I wasn’t sure how long it would take to set up, so I gave myself an hour, which seemed about right. I talked with a few people who sounded eager to know more about selling Usborne. The market was in the parking lot close to the regular location, which I thought worked better. I talked with the Mayor’s wife for a bit and she purchased some books. D, the organizer, helped me get the tent up and take it down afterwards, thanks. Thanks for letting me borrow your things, Nicole! and a big thank you to everyone who came out today!
I will be at the Aurora’s Farmers Market tomorrow, July 7th, from 7:30am to noon. Located at Wilder Promenade (the old police station, 350 N River St). Please feel free to come out! You can browse and purchase Usborne books. You can get a feel for Usborne if you aren’t already familiar with them. We can chat about hosting a party, they are so much fun! If you are like me and love Usborne books, we should talk about you joining my team. I personally know the three people above me and they are each very helpful. We have monthly training meeting and emails to help us develop as business women. I love carpooling with Nicole to the meetings! We always have great talks. You can carpool with us! No pressure or hard feelings if you don’t want to be part of my team, I know it’s not for everyone, but I’m having a blast and I’d love to share it with you!
Update: We sold on the low end of average, which was pretty good for a day of over 100° F. I loved talking with people and promoting literacy!
