We had a great party yesterday! We had a craft, story time, and I used some of my new skills to make a Ballerina Cake. I used the instructions for the Ballerina from I Can Draw People. I forgot to take pictures of the party, but I did remember to take a picture of the cake. Each of the girls also went home with Sticker Dolly Dressing Ballerinas. Elise earned $105 in free books, Congratulations! I earned the 5% bonus in July, so thank you everyone who ordered at this party and the others in July!
This sweet pink ballerina dancing book is perfect for little girls! At least it is for my little 3 year old. It is a sturdy board book with tabs for easy turning while you dance along to the CD. The songs go in the same order the book does, three songs for each dance. My daughter and I put the CD in the other day and she got on her Ballerina outfit. She danced and danced to the music and didn’t want to stop for Dinner. She even picked it for her bedtime book that night and the next several.
Here you can see the book open to Dance of the Little Swans (from Swan Lake) while she and her curls spin.
Here she’s flapping her “wings” maintaining her little swan dance.
Here she is with her wand doing the Sugarplum dance from the Nutcracker.
I did the dances with her. They are not too complex, but yet really do give you a sense of the dance. I was surprised how diverse the dances are. Each Dance tells a bit about the dance or Ballet it is taken from.
Feel free to call or email me with any questions or to place an order, many times I can save you on the shipping cost. Thank You for reading!
I had Andrea’s party last night. It was so much fun! Thank you to all who came. We had wonderful conversations. I made a new friend who has adopted an older child (which is Jason’s and my hope). I believe all of us made new friends! We also eat some yummy food! Andrea and I have a close mutual friend, Katie. Andrea asked if I would be interested in donating some of my commission to the adoption fund as I did for Elisabeth’s party. I’m happy to say some more is being added to their fund! I’m so excited to see their new little one (s)!
I will be at the Aurora’s Farmers Market tomorrow, July 7th, from 7:30am to noon. Located at Wilder Promenade (the old police station, 350 N River St). Please feel free to come out! You can browse and purchase Usborne books. You can get a feel for Usborne if you aren’t already familiar with them. We can chat about hosting a party, they are so much fun! If you are like me and love Usborne books, we should talk about you joining my team. I personally know the three people above me and they are each very helpful. We have monthly training meeting and emails to help us develop as business women. I love carpooling with Nicole to the meetings! We always have great talks. You can carpool with us! No pressure or hard feelings if you don’t want to be part of my team, I know it’s not for everyone, but I’m having a blast and I’d love to share it with you!
Update: We sold on the low end of average, which was pretty good for a day of over 100° F. I loved talking with people and promoting literacy!
